Learn how to cook simple and delicious food the ayurvedic way. Ayurvedic food isn’t one cuisine in particular, but a way of cooking that can balance any meal.
What makes ayurvedic food so special? It incorporates all six tastes to satisfy the palate and body. It intelligently combines foods to enhance taste and ease digestion. It’s pleasing to the eyes, balances the effects of the seasons, and elevates the mind.
This workshop includes a full ayurvedic lunch (made by us!) so that you can taste this ancient wisdom. And as we cook, we’ll learn the how’s and why’s behind ayurvedic food, including knowing when to steam, saute, bake, or go raw; sweeteners for the seasons; grains for digestion; adapting for the doshas; and the art of using spices.
Dishes will include vegetarian dahls, mains, vegetables, condiments, snacks, and desserts.
You’ll also have the option to pre-order an ayurvedic pantry starter kit so that you can bring this knowledge straight home to your kitchen!
